Much like life itself a therapeutic journey is rarely straightforward and therefore I feel it is necessary to not only understand this, but be able to adapt and offer an integrative approach that draws from numerous modalities.
Alongside this, my aim is to work within the parameters of your needs and create a service that is flexible, accessible and economically priced.
I believe that therapy and counselling should be available to all, no matter what their circumstances. I hope that this is reflected in my fees, all of which can be offered on a sliding scale to match your current financial situation, so please contact me to discuss this and we can adjust accordingly.
I am qualified to work with both adults and young people, and have experience supporting a wide range of clients. Whatever challenges you are facing, I am open to exploring them with you. You can find more information about my background, training and previous areas of work on my Qualifications and Experience page.
Fees
My fees operate on a sliding scale to reflect different circumstances:
Standard fee (average income and overheads): £60 per hour
Above-average income (with average overheads): £70 per hour
Reduced fee (between £30 and £45 per hour): limited availability, currently unavailable
Lower-cost or pro bono work: occasionally offered when capacity allows, currently unavailable
Practicalities
I work from clinics based in Hove and Worthing, but I also work online.
Fees can be negotiated before or during the first meeting.
I offer an initial 20 minute consultation that is free for clients wishing to commit to ongoing work (monthly or more frequent appointments).
Prior to starting, we may exchange a few brief emails at no cost to establish whether working together feels right.
During the first session (or initial email exchange) we will discuss how we might work together and create an informal counselling agreement.
Dana (generosity) Practice
In the Buddhist tradition, the teachings are given freely because they are considered priceless; in the Buddhist tradition we also practice dana, or generosity, by making monetary offerings for the teachings. Dana is not payment for goods or services rendered; it is given from the heart.
I would love to live in a world whereby I did not need to charge a fee for my services, but this is not feasible in the capitalist society that we inhabit. However, your generosity is a gift that supports not just myself, but also the larger community, as it allows me to continue to offer my services at a reduced rate to help support those with less available funds.
